New Partnership with TCU Announced at Their Global Energy Symposium

Nikki Morris, Executive Director, Ralph Lowe Energy Institute & Derek Adams, Managing Director, Permian Integrated Energy System (PIES), PEDL

A newly signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Permian Energy Development Lab (PEDL) and the Ralph Lowe Energy Institute (RLEI) at Texas Christian University establishes a partnership to integrate TCU energy students into PEDL’s next-generation energy initiatives in the Permian Basin.

The Permian Integrated Energy System (PIES) is a flagship initiative of PEDL enabled through a partnership with Roosevelt Resources. Centered on a 320-acre site in Yoakum County, Texas, PIES is a living laboratory where commercial operators and researchers can demonstrate and evaluate these technologies. In parallel, PEDL is developing education and training pathways that support the growth of future energy talent and long-term regional economic development.

At the Energy Symposium, Derek Adams, Managing Director of PEDL’s Permian Integrated Energy System, spoke to students and energy industry representatives about our test site in Yoakum County Texas. The goal is to demonstrate how integrating energy systems can maximize the economic value of natural resources while minimizing environmental impacts.
