ABOUT

What is the Permian Energy Development Lab?

PEDL is a coalition whose mission is to advance energy development while benefitting and creating opportunities for energy communities.

It does this by fostering collaboration among business, government and academic leaders – and by leveraging the Permian’s expertise and geologic resources – bolstering the region as a global energy leader now and into the future.

The lab is a place where energy experts from the public and private sector can collaborate to develop and test new technologies. They also work together to develop cleaner and more efficient ways to operate existing energy systems.

CO-FOUNDERS

The Permian Energy Development Laboratory is a two-state consortium founded by a group of colleges, universities and national laboratories. The Cynthia and George Mitchell Foundation launched and continues to incubate the organization.

PARTNERS

We collaborate with a robust network of government, academic, industry and nongovernmental organizations to support the future of energy development in the Permian Basin.

We welcome new partnerships across our three pillars of work – advanced energy; education and workforce; and community development. If you or your organization are interested in joining our network, please contact us.

Your support is vital.

Funding allows us to produce cutting-edge energy research; build practical solutions to meet the world’s growing demand for reliable and affordable energy; invest in the energy workforce of tomorrow; and create pathways to economic opportunity for community members and entrepreneurs.

The Permian Energy Development Laboratory is a 501(c)(3) public charity.
Contributions are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
