New Partnerships Expand PEDL’s Reach in Water Research

We recently signed an agreement to work with Texas Tech University. That agreement spans several departments at the school with key areas of focus that include the treatment of produced water; communications, outreach and stakeholder management; petroleum engineering research and field activities; and legal and regulatory analysis. Our collaboration with Texas Tech extends PEDL’s reach and ability to contribute to the region.

Relatedly, PEDL joined the Texas Produced Water Research Consortium––housed at Texas Tech ––as well as the New Mexico Produced Water Research Consortium––housed at New Mexico State University––creating a cross-border collaboration to address produced water challenges in the Permian Basin. This very active and promising partnership is focused on research, education and outreach necessary to guide the safe treatment and reuse of produced water.
