PEDL is making in a couple of key areas. Our team has been invited to submit a full proposal for the NSF Engines program, a milestone that could bring a significant investment in the Permian Basin.

Additionally, a new agreement with Baker Hughes will deepen our work on innovative energy solutions.

We’re also keeping an eye on rising energy demands, as highlighted in a recent White House memo, and the role PEDL can play in meeting these demands.

Big Step Toward a Federal Funding Prize for the Permian

We’re thrilled to share that PEDL’s proposal is one of 71 selected from nearly 300 submissions to move on to the next phase of the NSF Engines program competition, with the potential to win up to $160 million in funding. Building on a $1 million NSF planning grant, this invitation to submit a full proposal is an encouraging step, reflecting the Permian Basin’s status as a hub for energy innovation. We face tough competition, but our unique blend of regional expertise and forward-looking partnerships stands out. The process alone has helped focus PEDL’s energies and accelerate our progress.
